40-SECOND OAT MILK:
INGREDIENTS
1 c GF rolled oats
3 c cold water
Pinch sea salt
1 tsp pure vanilla powder or extract
Pinch cinnamon
2 tbsp maple syrup
Optional: add cocoa or cacao powder for chocolate milk
MAKE IT
Blend the oats and filtered water in a high-speed blender for 30-40s. The milk should look creamy and white. Don’t over blend, or you’ll end up with slimy milk!
Place a fine mesh strainer over a large bowl. Pour the oat milk through the strainer twice. Don’t press on the pulp, or you’ll get slimy milk. Discard the pulp.
Store in the refrigerator in an air-tight container for up to 5 days. Super fine oats (sediment) may separate from liquid. I just shake mine before using because I don’t mind them, but if you do then don’t shake the bottle, and pour from the top so the sediment stays at the bottom.
