Chicken/turkey Chorizo

All the flavor, but make it healthy.

This recipe is a hug in a bowl. It’s an old recipe, a bit of a twist on the one I grew up with.

Make chorizo tacos, serve it with eggs, or even with nachos!

1 lb ground chicken or turkey

1 tsp tbsp chili powder

1 tbsp chile ancho powder

3 tbsp smoked paprika

pinch ground cinnamon

1 pinch ground clove (optional)

1 tsp dried oregano

2 tsp ground cumin

1 tsp salt

1 tsp dried coriander

1 tsp ground black pepper

1 tsp crushed red pepper

4 cloves fresh garlic, finely chopped

2 tbsp white vinegar

1. Add evoo to a pan on medium heat. Add chicken to the pan, and break up the ground chicken with a large, wooden spatula.

2. Add garlic, then vinegar, and the spice mix. Cook for 8 minutes, stirring often and breaking up the chicken so it’s crumbly.

1 libra de pollo o pavo molido

2-3 cucharadas aceite oliva

1 cucharadita de chile en polvo

1 cucharada de chile ancho en polvo

3 cucharadas de pimentón ahumado

pizca de canela molida 1 pizca de clavo molido (opcional)

1 cucharadita de orégano seco

2 cucharaditas de comino molido

1 cucharadita de sal

1 cucharadita de cilantro seco

1 cucharadita de pimienta negra molida

1 cucharadita de pimiento rojo triturado

4 dientes de ajo fresco, finamente picado

2 cucharadas de vinagre blanco
