Cilantro Hemp Sauce (Nut-free/low histamine)

Pair this delicious sauce with your favorite salad (make sure you add protein), or with tacos!

 

INGREDIENTS

 

½ c hemp hearts

1 small handful whole cilantro stems (chop off very top and very bottom of stems)

3 cloves fresh garlic

Squeeze fresh lime juice (½ tsp to keep it low histamine)

½ teaspoon salt, to taste

8 tbsp water

4 Olive oil drizzles

½ tsp chopped red onion (optional)

 

MAKE IT

  1. Blend hemp hearts, cilantro, garlic, lime, and salt in food processor, until desired consistency. Then add water, and blend. Add olive oil last, and blend.

A low histamine diet is restrictive and not meant to be followed long-term, as nutrient deficiencies may develop).**
