21 Feb Creamy Cilantro Sauce
This creamy cilantro sauce complements any salad or taco. It’s so creamy and flavorful, and you’ll need just 9 real food ingredients to make it: hemp hearts, blanched almonds, coconut milk, cilantro, sea salt, onion powder, garlic powder, lime juice, and olive oil. Make it:)!
½ c hemp hearts
2 tbsp almonds (I roasted some whole almonds to deepen their flavor), soaked (discard water before adding to food processor)
14 tbsp coconut milk, use the cream at the top + some coconut water
2 handfuls of cilantro
½ tsp salt, to taste
½ tsp onion powder, to taste
½ tsp garlic powder, to taste
Squeeze of lime
2 drizzles of olive oil
- Soak almonds for 30 minutes (minimum)-5 hours.
- Add all the ingredients to a food processor and blend until creamy and smooth. Adjust taste and consistency to your preference. Add more coconut water to thin, if necessary.
- Freeze in individual portions in silicone trays (so histamine doesn’t accumulate in the refrigerator). I normally reheat in the microwave for about 1 minute and 20 s.
