🍈Homemade melon agua fresca is my fave spring drink. Ok, anytime of the year, why lie;)
👌🏽It’s light, sweet, refreshing, and that foamy action at the top is glorious.
INGREDIENTS
4 c diced cantaloupe
1 ½ c filtered water
4 tbsp maple syrup (traditionally sweetened with a few tbsp of sugar, but I went with maple syrup to keep it refined sugar-free)
MAKE IT (makes 3 pints)
- Blend
- Strain (save pulp for smoothies). Stir with a spoon to speed up the process.
- Pour
- Garnish with a chunk of melon, or mint leaves.
**GF/DF/LOW-HISTAMINE (I followed mastcell360 low histamine foods list very strictly initially, then added some foods from the SIGHI list as I began to tolerate more foods, all under the care of a dietitian. A low histamine diet is restrictive and not meant to be followed long-term, as nutrient deficiencies may develop.)**
